Cellars, jars, grinders.....and pigs?

We have virtually every type of salt out there available here at Food for Thought, so it's only fitting that we have every vessel available as well. We now carry the Alton Brown salt cellar (which is on my wish list), cool new jars (small and large) and even a....salt pig. That's right. A salt pig. But posting a picture of one would just ruin the fun for you. Search them out the next time you're in!

Vegan Wednesday! Appetite For Reduction!

Veganism is the fastest growing dietary lifestyle in the United States, and the variety of books on the subject alone is proof of that. I'm amazed at how many awesome vegan cookbooks have popped up, just in the last couple of years! Just 3 years ago , I could've only named a few. Whether you want raw vegan, vegan baking, vegan snacks, vegan/asian, low-fat vegan, Food For Thought has the book for you!

The latest one to catch my attention is "Appetite for Reduction" by Isa Chandra Moskowitz (Author of Veganomicon & Vegan With A Vengeance). The book promises 125 Fast & Filling Low-Fat Vegan Recipes, and boy, does it deliver! Everything from Quinoa-Chickpea salad to Irish Stew with Potatoes. It's great for someone like myself, who's trying to lose weight and doesn't want to eat a boring salad every single day.

Stop by Food For Thought, and check out this book today!

Gluten-Free Tuesday: CHEESE!!!!

Fresh in at Food for Thought: Andrew & Everett Premium Cheeses! These delicious (and well priced!) cheeses are all-natural and made from the freshest milk you could hope for! In addition to being all-natural, the cheese is rBGH (bovine growth hormone... very bad for cows, and people!) free and the company only partners with independent, self-sustaining US farmers.

We carry several different varieties of their cheeses, including shredded, sliced and blocked cheese. The Italian blend is my personal favorite! And, for those of you who have been craving a good GF mozzarella cheese, Andrew & Everett have both a regular and low-fat version! Come in and check them out!
